Kyra Gracie Guimarães is an athlete, fighter and fighting teacher. She comes from a traditional family of Brazilian fighters, the family that introduced the sport to Brazil and spread it to the world. She started fighting at the age of 11, and at the age of 15 she was already living outside Brazil competing. She is a five-time world champion in jiu-jitsu and a three-time ADCC champion. She was the first woman in her family to earn a black belt and compete in the sport. She is married to actor Malvino Salvador, who also loves fighting, and is the mother of two girls, ages 3 and 1, who have already started practicing the sport.
