This video features three different methods for catching fish from a fishing kayak: vertical jigging, trolling the 50+2 method (also called fifty plus two or 50 Plus 2), and trolling with bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses. If you've ever wondered how to catch fish trolling using the 50 Plusv2 method, or how to use nightcrawlers on a crawler harness with bottom bouncers, this video will help explain it. The day started off early at sunrise on lake Erie in the Shearwater 125. After catching numerous channel catfish, it was time to push offshore and troll for walleye and whatever fish would bite the hook. The 50+2 method by used in the app by Precision Trolling Data means you let out 50 feet of line on a line counter reel, then snap on a 2 ounce weight, then let out as much more line as needed to hit a certain depth.
