The Lies of the Tithe (No One Tithes)

The law of the tithe in the Old Testament is very clear, but does anyone actually follow it today? Pastor James Knox makes the point that no one can claim they practice biblical, Old Testament tithing today. A few reasons why: The modern church giving doesn't match the agricultural/livestock nature of Biblical tithes; Churches don't support one full-time minister for every 13 members; The entire tithe doesn't go directly to the ministers; There isn't a central storehouse system as described specifically in the Old Testament. Brother James concludes that while New Testament Christians aren't required to tithe under the law, they should be motivated to give AT LEAST as generously as those under the Old Testament law, if not more so, out of love and gratitude to Christ.
