I tried five different levels of all-you-can-eat buffets in China, starting with a local 13 RMB buffet that costs less than $2 and working my way up to luxury buffets inside five-star hotels and Guangzhou’s iconic Canton Tower. Along the way, I ate cheap Chinese cafeteria food, unlimited Korean BBQ, seafood, sushi, steak, desserts, and more to find out whether expensive buffets are actually better—or if the cheapest buffet offers the best value.
