Podbanské - Kamenista dolina - Pysné sedlo (1791m) | Zapadné Tatry - High Tatras

A 2-minute overview of the entire hike from Podbanské through Kamenista dolina to Pysné sedlo (1,791 m), located in the Western High Tatras of Slovakia (Zapadné Tatry). On August 2, 2024, Plan A was to hike through Kôprovská dolina, however, due to an endless series of road works and traffic jams on the ring road around the High Tatras, we drove 90 minutes over 32 km, so by the time of arrival the parking was completely occupied. Then we drove to Podbanské (free parking by the way … at least in 2023), but it was too late to climb the Bystra (Plan B). So, it was time for plan C: hiking through Kamenistá dolina towards Pyšné sedlo. Very nice valley with beautiful views! On the way back, when the girls were picking some blue berries, we saw a huge male red deer on the other side of the river bed, on the lower slopes of the Grešovo (1,911 m).
