A rough night on the plateau, and the next day was worse | 11 Munros in the Cairngorms

Setting out into the Cairngorms to take on 11 Munros over 3 days, starting from Glen Shee and pushing deep into the hills. After a long night on the plateau and using a Hilleberg Akto as a 2 person tent opposed to its 1 person capacity, we woke up to even worse conditions than the day before. Picking up from where the first part left off, we made our way back to the bag before pushing on again as darkness set in. With limited options, we ended up pitching in rough conditions and sharing a one-man tent rather than risk a weaker setup in the wind. The following morning brought stronger winds, rain and snow, making progress difficult across the plateau. At times, conditions were severe enough that even stopping on the summits wasn’t practical, but with several Munros still to go, we carried on. Despite everything, we worked through the remaining peaks and made our way back out, with a brief break in the weather towards the end. #cairngorms #munros #hiking #wildcamping #scotland #hilleberg #akto 0:00 Picking Up from Part 1 0:48 Cairn Bannoch 1:33 Broad Cairn 2:22 Into the Dark – Finding a Camp Spot 3:12 Pitching the Hilleberg Akto 4:52 Morning – Conditions Worse Again 6:08 Tolmount 7:20 Tom Buidhe 8:12 Cairn of Claise 9:10 Glas Maul 10:30 Creag Leacach 12:52 Finish Point
