The Story of Vosloorus - Part One

This is the story of Vosloorus, a vibrant but scarcely known town some thirty km's south east of Johannesburg. The story of its humble beginnings is here told from the perspectives of two families, ba ga Mphomane, who migrated to Vosloorus in 1979 and Mma Moagi, who came to Vosloorus with her family in 1964 at the age of 10, when residents of an old town called Stironville were forced by the then government to move to Vosloorus, which was then called Vlakplaas.
