This film flows slowly. Almost without words - like a warm, quiet day filled with sunshine and the scent of ripening fruit. If you’re watching it on the day it’s published, I’m on my way to Poland - for a long-awaited holiday at my homestead. Two weeks earlier, I caught myself realizing that, mentally, I was already there. Waiting. Planning. Counting down the days. And then the sun came out, and I felt sorry to let this June slip away. It would be a shame to lose these days. So today, I’m taking you with me to my Irish garden and kitchen - for redcurrants, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and roses. There will be summer fruit picking, homemade juice, rose and rhubarb jam, a cake full of red berries, wind moving through the grasses, and warm light shifting across the leaves.
