Sometimes it's hard to find another reserve of patience, perseverance, or optimism. Especially when the journey of change is a long one. The weeds are growing faster than I can keep up with them, the weather isn't helping, and the birds and slugs are doing their best to remind me that not everything can be controlled. When I feel overwhelmed, I return to simple things. Quiet work with visible results. Small steps. Focusing on what I can do instead of worrying about what I can't change. In this video, I'll take you on a small rescue mission in the garden. I'll show you the enclosure I'm building to protect my currants, some long-overdue clearing behind the polytunnel, and the final stage of my spruce shoot liqueur.
