Autism - Accept your Child As They Are (not where you wish they were)
It can be a bit of a shock when we see our children developing differently. We can feel overwhelmed, sad, fearful, angry and many more emotions. But it's also important to accept them now- AS they are, WHERE they are, and move through grief/fear/sadness so that you can truly connect with your child (and yourself). 1. Accept your child where they are NOW 2. Accept that they probably won't become the child you previously imagined 3. Learn about different neurotypes - yes they're natural 4. Be a safe, fun, calm space for yourself and your child 5. Allow your child to mimic your relaxed, fun nervous system Fall in love with your child all over again. The one you have in front of you. You being happy and accepting your child is the best thing you can do for your child. Ask me a question and I'll answer it
