Our Italian adventure continues as we leave Rome and make our way south to the stunning Amalfi Coast—but first, we stop to explore the incredible ancient city of Pompeii. From there, we spend two nights in Sorrento, the perfect base to tick off one of our biggest bucket list experiences—hiring our own self-drive boat to explore the island of Capri. Cruising around the island, discovering hidden caves, swimming in the crystal-clear Mediterranean and enjoying a picnic on the water made for one of the highlights of our entire Italy trip. Next, we head to the beautiful hilltop town of Ravello, where we visit the spectacular Villa Rufolo before ticking off another bucket list adventure—riding a Vespa along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast through Amalfi and Positano. Despite plenty of warnings not to do it, it turned out to be an experience we'll never forget!
