“Helping others creates a strong bond! And it’s quite possible to fall in love with someone there,” says Georgia Haslehner from Sierning in Upper Austria. She met her sweetheart, Markus, at the Red Cross. Eight couples have already met through volunteer work at the local Red Cross branch. Manuela and Klaus Linder fell in love during a fire drill in Sitzenberg, Lower Austria. Birgit Richter and Wolfgang Löffler from the Vienna Woods usually spend their free time training search and rescue dogs. It seems that people get to know each other particularly well while working on missions.
