Writing grants to support dissertation research/writing has become essential for many graduate students in Ph.D. programs. In this conversation, we discuss the main granting agencies that support anthropological fieldwork—Wenner Gren and the National Science Foundation—and the genres of grant writing for anthropological audiences.
