Danyang - Guinsa Temple & Ondal Cave & Film Set l My Korea Diaries: 14

Winter is truly on its way, but there’s still more exploring to do. I booked a guided day trip to explore the Danyang region, which is difficult to explore without a car. It’s a fair drive to get there so out pick up is at 6:15 in the morning. First stop of the day is Guinsa Temple, built in a beautiful valley rising towards the mountains. Next stop is the Ondal Cave and Film Set. The cave is bigger than I expected with some very low sections that you basically have to crawl through, but definitely a fun thing to have a look at. Make sure you wear your helmet! Next I have a walk through all the buildings that have been built to be used in K-Drama productions. There are buildings in the traditional Korean style as well as buildings built in a Chinese traditional style. To finish off the day we also stop at the Dodamsambong Scenic Rocks.
