I talk about the emotional effects, the intellectual effects, and psychological effects social media has on us. Most notably, I talk about the way that the Asch Conformity tests shine a humongous spotlight on the way that our brains are so incredibly susceptible to being manipulated by large numbers of people, how social pressure can and inevitably leads to conformity and how that is hurting us all because of the algorithm's push toward a larger bottom line.
