Moistboys STOLE Our Springs! (4K)
Dylan and I were easily convinced to plan another trip to Vancouver Island. We were excited to go on a trip with the Supra and reconnect with our YouTube friends, the Moistboys. So, we booked a ferry and hit the road. As we drove to Ben's house (the location of Garage Tanoshi), the moment finally arrived—we were about to reunite with our favourite people on the big rock known as Vancouver Island. Without wasting any time, we got straight to work on making Dylan's Supra more exciting. Our first mission was to significantly drop its ride height. We removed the springs from the suspension and tinkered until we achieved the perfect stance. With Josh's help, we got a set of wheels with suitable tires and moved on to the next task. Next up, we wanted the Supra to sound as fun as it looked. We turned to Ben from Garage Tanoshi, a wizard when it came to old cars. Ben quickly crafted a custom pipe to delete the muffler, resulting in an awesome and hilarious symphony of revs and pops from the exhaust. After countless hours of hard work, it was time to enjoy the rewards. With the Supra shining in all its lowered glory and the exhaust making a new noise, we went on a coastal drive. Vancouver Island's windswept roads guided us along stunning views and breathtaking corners. It was a state of automotive bliss as the sun set, casting a golden glow on the coastline. One of the highlights of going on trips like this was connecting with like-minded people who share our passion for cars and YouTube. The Moistboys, a talented group of content creators who just returned from a trip to Japan, welcomed us with open arms. We had late-night car conversations and brainstormed video ideas. It was refreshing to be surrounded by people who understood Japanese car culture and the art of filmmaking. Adam even gave us a tour of his basement, "The Moistboys Gulag," filled with car parts and merchandise. The next day, when we thought the trip couldn't get any more exciting, we received a call from Kiera, a close friend from the island. She invited us to meet up with her group of friends called "Early Night," a tight-knit community of car enthusiasts. We immediately accepted and arrived to the sound of revving engines and enthusiastic cheers. It was clear that this was no ordinary gathering. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the vibrant energy of fellow petrolheads who loved cars. "Early Night" embodied the true essence of the car enthusiast community. They celebrated the diverse range of automotive expressions and cherished their own rides. We laughed, shared stories, and formed new friendships over a mutual appreciation for cars. Back in Victoria, we took a look at Adam's impressive wheel collection and got a sneak peek at his AE86 project before rushing to catch our ferry home. Our trip to Vancouver Island was a total success. Each encounter added excitement to our adventure, from Adam's hospitality to Ben's hard work. The experiences with the Moistboys crew reminded us of the power of friendship and the joy of pursuing our passions. The day after the trip, still buzzing with excitement, Dylan and I headed to Milo's shop to perfect the final touches on the Supra. Milo, known locally for his fabrication skills, welcomed us warmly. We discussed design ideas for the exhaust tips and Milo expertly fabricated them, ensuring they looked incredible and performed well. Next, Milo installed a resonator to balance the exhaust note. He fine-tuned the sound, achieving the perfect blend of power and refinement. Standing back and admiring the Supra's final form (for now), we felt a great sense of pride. The collaborative efforts of myself, Dylan, Milo, and our friends had turned the car into a true reflection of our passion. We can't wait to see what's next. ______________ Visit our website: https://checkpointjapan.com/ Shop now: https://bit.ly/3D7k8cd Join us on Discord: / discord ______________ Enjoy!
