The Liberty of Norton Folgate Spitalfields Walking Tour (4K)

The Liberty of Norton Folgate Spitalfields Walking Tour (4K) This walk explores the ancient Liberty of Norton Folgate in Spitalfields, East London. We start at Liverpool Street Station and cross Bishopsgate to look at the Bishopsgate Institute before heading down Brushfield Street to Spitalfields Market, established in 1682. We then admire Nicholas Hawksmoor's majestic Christ Church Spitalfields (the map here is from Iain Sinclair's book, Lud Heat). Passing by the Ten Bells pub we go along Fournier Street into Wilkes Street and Princelet Street - technically outside the Liberty of Norton Folgate but too good to ignore. Recrossing Commercial Street we go into Folgate Street, Elder Street, and Fleur De Lis Street before we cross Norton Folgate to go along Worship Street.
