Maine. The way life should be? Well… maybe. Today we’re taking a trip through the Pine Tree State to look at the places that are struggling the most with poverty, lack of opportunity, isolation, harsh winters, declining economies and that classic northern New England “we used to manufacture things here” energy. From isolated mill towns and gloomy paper plant economies to struggling downtowns, brain drain and some truly questionable local smells… yeah… we’ve got a lot to talk about in this one.
