Played here by Andrei Krylov on classical Russian guitar. Kamyshin is a small city on the River Volga in Volgograd Oblast, being some 180 km north of that city. The settlement was originally founded in 1667 on the left bank of the Kamyshinka River. In 1710, all of its inhabitants were relocated to the fortress of Dmitriyevsk on the opposite bank of the river. In 1780, the name was changed to Kamyshin and it was granted town status. Kamyshin turned into a merchant city with sawmills and windmills. It was formerly famous for its watermelon trade.
