'Gay Nineties Live Again!' - Footage 1890-1910s, Restored | 16mm Film Scan

A collection of film clips ranging from 1890s-1910s, compiled by Castle Films in the 1940s as part of their "Old Time Movies" range. While it's titled "Gay Nineties", it seems like it has footage up until the late 1910s or thereabouts. See footage of everyone from Teddy Roosevelt, to Sarah Bernhardt or Madame Curie; and why not a bathing suit show too! The opening scene had very siginifcant flicker, I reduced it as much as I could to make it more watchable. However, we believe that flicker wasn't a defect; rather it was likely Kinemacolor which used an alternating two-color filter wheel to reproduce color. Went thorugh scene-by-scene to get each clip looking the best I could. Stabilization, uniformity corrections, flicker and dirt/scratch reduction, and exposure/contrast curve adjustments. Unfortunately the audio track was a rather low-fidelity variable density recording. Tried to clean it up. Upon publishing I realized I forgot to apply the title corrections for Alexander Graham Bell.
