The Super Natural: Powers and Superpowers in the Modern World

Human history is replete with both narrative and empirical evidence of dramatic healings, visitations, extraordinary human capacities, and other unexplained phenomena. Yet intellectual and scientific communities have consistently brushed aside the very existence of such events as at odds with modernity. Historian of religions Jeffrey J.
