Audi A1 Full Transmission Guide! - Dq200 / 0am / 0cw - Mechatronics & Clutch

This is a full explained guide to servicing & maintaining the Audi A1 or Dq200/0am/0cw transmission also found on other VW / Audi / Skoda / Seat vehicles like the Polo, Golf, Ibiza etc. I tried to fit all the known issues with this transmission into 1 simply video to explain it all so you know what to look for, which took a lot of research to curate into 1 place - so you don't have to spend time searching. I will cover common issues with the Dq200, how to fix them & preventative maintenance. The oil in the mechatronics needs to be changed to a full synthetic & is NOT a lifetime fill. Replacement is recommended to fix a sulphur issue from factory - preventing potential electrical shorts + for typical cleanliness of the fluid for smooth operation. There is a controller side (mechatronics) & a gear side to this transmission. They're separate oils for each one. A hydraulic fluid for the hydraulic controller (the mechatronics) - & a gear oil for the gear side. Jerky/clunky/shaky shifts are often caused either by the mechatronics issues explained in this video, or clutches wearing most commonly (or the shift forks in the gear side wearing too). It is a fairly rare design in that it is a DUAL but DRY clutch. Most dual clutches are wet clutches. Essentially a DUAL DRY clutch, hydraulically controlled (known as mechatronics), manual* transmission (making it an automatic because its controlled automatically - but operates internally like a manual in terms of design & parts (clutches instead of a typical automatic torque converter).
