Since becoming manager in 2019, Hansi Flick has taken Bayern Munchen to the next level; winning not only the Bundesliga title, but the Champions League as well. Flick's team have been known for their attacking prowess. Most noticeably, the team is extremely quick; with lots of energy throughout the entire side. In possession, Flick likes his team to command the ball and work their way through the thirds with more vertical intent. They attempt to work their way up the pitch quickly, but also baring in mind their desire to keep the ball. This essentially becomes a versatile system between possession and counter attack. What goes unnoticed is just how much height they have in the attacking areas of the team. This allows them to vary the way in which they attack because it allows them to also play lots of crosses and aerial balls. Defensively, Bayern look to press the opposition into errors in a very extreme way. Their high defensive line and energetic personnel enables them to achieve this.
