I Almost Went Home… Then THIS Happened! 😳 | Metal Detecting UK | Equinox 900
Murray heads out for a midweek solo session of metal detecting in Walton-on-the-Hill, Surrey, UK. Hunting with his Equinox 900 on a brand new permission near the historic Tadworth WW1 military camp. With previous visits to this area producing cap badges, buttons and coins linked to the soldiers who trained here, hopes are high for more military finds. Under a clear blue sky, signals start coming in and the finds begin to build, although nothing military turns up this time. Just when it looks like a quiet day, a lucky last-minute “day saver” makes it all worthwhile. Stay tuned to the end for an update on the incredible medieval heraldic mount found in the previous episode. Another great day out metal detecting UK. #metaldetectinguk #equinox900 #surreyhills Read more about the amazing medieval heraldic mount found by Murray, visit our online museum here: https://cme.sh/GvM-1v OUR METAL DETECTING FINDS 00:00 Metal Detecting UK Intro – Equinox 900 in the Field 00:26 Hello from the Surrey Hills 01:06 Snow White Cream Lid – Early Find 03:03 Compass Find – Which Way is North? 03:18 Bridle Fitting – Possible Harness Piece 03:53 George V Half Penny – UK Coin Find 05:18 Pony Club Badge – Interesting Find 06:33 Edward VII Penny – Old British Coin 08:01 4-Holed Button – Everyday History 09:14 Another Pony Club Badge 09:54 Catch Up – Metal Detecting UK Session 10:24 Pound Coin – Modern Find 10:57 Elizabeth II Threepence – Classic Coin 11:57 Surrey County Council Road Safety Badge 12:53 George II Farthing 1749 – Historic Coin Find 15:17 End of Day – What Did I Find? 15:52 Heraldic Mount Update – Medieval Find COMING NEXT… Murray and Ashley head off to our permission at the WW1 military training camp site in Tadworth, Surrey. ABOUT THE BEARDED BLEEPERS We are a small team of detectorists dedicated to metal detecting UK landscapes, with a strong focus on the historic fields of the Surrey Hills. Led by Murray, who regularly uses the Minelab Equinox 900, we uncover and share the hidden history beneath our feet. We share our detecting adventures through weekly YouTube videos, our website, which includes an online museum showcasing our finds, and the Bleepers Blog. Our group promotes responsible detecting while bringing the stories of past communities back to life. We have also launched an ongoing metal detecting exhibit at the Shere Museum: https://bit.ly/3QjkBCl, open to the public every Saturday and Sunday, helping connect the local community with Surrey’s rich history.
