In this lecture, Doc Zialcita talks about the European Age of Enlightenment, how it came to the Philippines, and how it is still relevant today. Fernando Nakpil-Zialcita has an M.A. in Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii. He teaches at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the Loyola Schools, Ateneo de Manila University and heads the Cultural Heritage Studies Program at the same. The Magisterial Lecture series is a collection of selected talks from Ateneo classes, delivered by some of the University’s most respected faculty members.
