38: La Cesión de Santo Domingo a Francia, Causas, Tratado de Basilea.

In 1795, Dominicans, against their will, became French subjects. Discover how Spain, through the Treaty of Basel, ceded Santo Domingo to France, to the outrage of Dominicans, who felt their Hispanic culture and identity threatened after this event. This is an educational project carried out by the Corripio Foundation, which will feature approximately 100 episodes so that Dominicans can more accurately understand their history. We narrate the most relevant and epic events in the Dominican Republic. Our episodes are based on reliable sources. We work hand in hand with the Dominican Academy of History and historian and essayist Juan Daniel Balcácer.
