Does the Old School Renaissance have an Institutional Knowledge problem (w/ guest expert Falconer)

Where can one learn the answers to questions that D&D has posed since 1974? Where can you go and find what the creators of the game have said, or even say today? How do we learn what has happened in D&D history? Does the Old School Renaissance and the broader Tabletop Roleplaying Game Hobby have an Institutional Knowledge problem? In this discussion video I chat with Falconer of the Knights and Knaves Alehouse forum and the ODD74 board. We talk about the history of old school D&D forums and discussion boards, the history of the OSR, how the classical and advanced hobby relates to the broader OSR and how we can try to preserve and pass on knowledge. Mythic Mountains Folk tabletop club is a private, online and international play club where we play games together weekly. We focus on folk tabletop games. Folk RPGs are pencil and paper tabletop games that require imagination and friendship, not brands, mega corporations and ideologies. No one here is "under-monetized." We have raised the black flag and now the table is back in charge of tabletop gaming.
