Ghost Town Found Deep in the Woods
Parkhurst was a small logging town established in 1926 when the Barr Brothers Logging Company purchased the land. It quickly transformed into several small houses, bunkhouses and a steam powered mill with 70 loggers working and living there. The logging industry slowed down in the 1950's and in 1966 Parkhurst was finally abandoned and forgotten.
