Deep in the mountains of North Carolina, there’s a place called Lost Cove - an abandoned Appalachian town you can only reach by hiking miles through the forest. In the early 1900s, dozens of families lived here, farming the mountainside and running a small community deep in the wilderness. But over time the railroad disappeared, jobs dried up, and the town slowly emptied out. Today the forest is reclaiming what’s left. In this video, I hike into Lost Cove to explore the remains of one of the most remote ghost towns in Appalachia.
