How to Chainsaw Carve a Welcome Bear | Step-by-Step Tutorial

Check out grizzlyartwork.com for more information! Hey everyone! In this video, I’ll show you how I made this playful sitting welcome bear holding a sign from start to finish. 🐻 We kick things off by blocking out the rough shape of the bear, getting the main proportions and pose just right. From there, I start refining the details — shaping the face, adding those friendly features, and carving the paws to give it that welcoming personality. Once the main form is set, I move on to cleaning up the lines and smoothing everything out so it all flows together nicely. Then it’s time for the finishing touches — using the sanders and die grinder to refine the textures and make the bear come to life. Finally, I jump into painting, adding depth and color to highlight the details and bring out that cheerful, inviting vibe. This one was a ton of fun to carve, and I’m really happy with how it turned out! Hope you enjoy watching the process — and don’t forget to drop a comment with your ideas for the next carving you’d like to see!
