Nelson Lakes National Park: Angelus Hut / Cascade Track / Lakehead Hut

Episode Two (of Two): Day Three - My sister and I hike from Angelus Hut to Lakehead Hut via the Cascade Track, and I sing the Skyrim theme tune. We follow the Hukere Stream. Day Four - We get up a bit late, and hike from the Lakehead Hut back to St. Arnaud, along the Lakehead Track and beside Lake Rotoiti. We see Coldwater Hut on the opposite bank, on the other side of the lake. Nelson Lakes National Park is in the South Island of New Zealand, at the northern end of the Southern Alps. It was formed after the passing of the National Parks Act in 1952. It was created in 1956 (one of four created in the 1950s). The park contains beech forests, multiple lakes, snow-covered mountains and valleys created by glaciers during the ice ages. (From Wikipedia).
