HOW WE GOT PERMISSION for a brutal walk-in freelance honker hunt is the story behind this episode of #ROADSHOW25, after we may have set a record for how many times we were denied or could not get anyone to answer the phone while trying to line up a late-season goose hunt. After hours of dead ends, Parker dug deep with some after-dark research that led us to the right number and finally an answer from a hesitant landowner, who agreed to let us hunt if we promised to leave the field better than we found it and walk in only. A quick stop at the liquor store for a bottle of Maker’s Mark sealed the deal, and the next morning we went to work with three guns and one camera rolling as giant Canada geese did it perfectly.
