The song declares Guruvayur temple itself as Sree Vaikuntam, the abode of Lord Vishnu, and describes pilgrims flowing toward the shrine like the river Kalindi. The composition invokes Narayaneeyam and calls upon Santana Gopalam to relieve the suffering of devotees and protect the vessel of life.
