Kalitta Charters II Boeing 727 Pushback, Taxi, and CRACKLING Takeoff from Kansas City (MCI)

In an absolute Hail Mary of a move by Kalitta Charters, last night there was an equipment swap from the usual 737-800 to one of Kalitta’s two remaining 727-200(F)s. This beautiful 727 happens to be the first of the last two remaining retired, with its last day with K2 being in less than a week. Turn up your volume and enjoy the sweet sounds of N726CK’s 3 JT8D-17 engines sounding like a fighter jet as she lifts off into the Missouri sky one last time. I’m so fortunate I was able to see another K2 B722 before they’re gone for good. N729CK, the final 727, will continue on for a couple more months before being retired this summer.
