TRIP REPORT | Lufthansa 747 Service to New York! | Frankfurt to New York | Lufthansa Boeing 747-400

Lufthansa Trip Report flying from Frankfurt to New York JFK onboard one of the Lufthansa Boeing 747-400 on a lovely autumn morning. A comfortable flight from Frankfurt to New York JFK onboard the Lufthansa B747, as known as The Queen of the Skies. We managed to get the central seat free, which made the flight much easier. However, it didn't start as good as expected: the back cargo hold door was damaged during loading and Lufthansa Maintenance had to repair it before departure, which gave us around 1h delay. About the flight itself, we departed from runway 07C in Frankfurt and made a quick 180° turn to start our route to New York. Due to strong winds, our route today will take us more to the north than usual. We flew towards Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, Newcastle, Northern Ireland, the south of Greenland, Canada, Boston, and, finally, New York. About the onboard service, we all are well aware of the poor quality service that Lufthansa offers in Economy Class. However, I must say that this flight was better. The crew first passed with a drinks service, just after takeoff. Around 2h after departing from Frankfurt, the lunch service started. Surprisingly there were 2 options: chicken or pasta. I decided to try the chicken option and, being honest, it was not bad at all. It came with some sauce, rice, and spinach. The salad was just lettuce and the cake... well, the same as always. I asked for a second round of warm food as I was really hungry and they offered me the pasta, which was one that I had already on a previous flight. They are a very polite crew. For the pre-landing snack, we were offered a cheese with vegetable sauce sandwich that was tasting better than looking, together with drinks. Now it is your turn! Have you ever flown with Lufthansa?
