Wachau Valley Day Trip: Melk Abbey & Dürnstein Castle | Exploring Austria Ep. 2 | Travel Vlog
We left Vienna for a day trip to the Wachau Valley, visiting Dürnstein and Melk along the Danube. We started with a short hike up to Dürnstein Castle, enjoying unobstructed views over the river and town. After a quick walk through Dürnstein, we drove to Melk, explored the town, and visited Melk Abbey. The abbey’s Baroque architecture, library, and gardens were beautiful. Walking through the town and the abbey grounds made for a calm and scenic day.
