In this episode, I have the honor of welcoming an entrepreneur who transformed humble beginnings into a trajectory marked by vision, resilience, and execution capacity: Wilson Poit. An electrical engineer by training, he began his career at a multinational company, but at age 26, he decided to give up stability to become an entrepreneur. Before finding the business that would change his life, he accumulated experience in different areas, working in a store, a transport company, and even a mango farm. A period he often defines as "walking sideways": paying the bills, learning, and persevering. The big turning point came from a frustrating experience renting a generator truck for an event. Convinced that he could offer a better service, he founded Poit Energia, a company that became a leader in generator rental in Brazil and which, years later, was sold to the world leader in the sector, on the eve of the World Cup and the Olympic Games. Following this achievement, he expanded his role as an investor, advisor, and public manager, leading important projects such as the concessions for Pacaembu, Anhembi, Interlagos, and the South Zone of São Paulo, in addition to heading Sebrae for four years.
