If you have a bed, sleep to skip to morning. No bed yet? Dig a small hole in the ground and wait out the night safely. ▼I can't make a bed (can't find sheep / colors don't match) 💡A bed needs 3 wool of the SAME color. If there's a village nearby, just grab a bed that's already there. Look for same-color sheep during the day; if you really can't find them, hunting at night is fine too (watch out for mobs). ▼I want to mine stone but I'm scared of falling into a cave 💡Digging just 4-5 blocks down from the surface almost never hits a cave. If you're still nervous, dig into exposed rock faces on the surface. ▼I can't find much iron 💡Iron is most common at height Y 16. Turn on coordinates, get the middle number (your height) down to 16, then branch mine in a straight line to gather it efficiently. ▼No diamonds no matter how much I dig 💡Diamonds are best around Y -54. And always mine diamonds with an IRON pickaxe or better - a stone pickaxe just breaks the diamond and you get nothing. ▼Lava and big caves scare me 💡If lava appears at your feet, block it off first, then pour a water bucket on it to turn it into obsidian and keep going safely. If you hit a huge cave, don't force it - wall it off with spare blocks and dig a new direction. ▼I keep getting lost underground 💡Always place torches on the RIGHT side as you dig. On the way back, just follow the path where the torches are on your left and you'll reach your base.
