What We Learned After Leaving Albania for 90 Days

We moved to Albania in 2025 in search of a better quality of life and a chance to build something new overseas. Three months ago, we left our home in Shkodër and set off on a 90-day journey across Southeast Asia. Nearly 18,000 miles later, we returned to Albania with a very different perspective on home, friendship, community, and what comes next. The biggest surprise wasn't something we discovered in Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, or Laos. It was what we learned about Albania.
