What is medical leave & do I get paid?
I've had people do things that completely amaze me! Many do not want to file for FMLA leave not realizing that FMLA saves their job! Many thinks that FMLA pays them. Unfortunately, I have to inform them that it does not. FMLA protects you and your position during the time that you're away from work for qualified reasons. Many think well I'm on vacay because I'm out on Worker's Comp Leave. Unfortunately, your main job should be recovering so that you can return to work! Many think that since I got hurt on the job then I'm going to sue the company that I work for. Most times, I'm thinking this is so pointless! If your job neglected to provide a safe environment for you in some way, then you may be able to use the help of an attorney. If you neglected to follow safe rules, then all you're doing is making another bill! Some folks have even said that they don't think males qualify for FMLA. I'm like, WHY NOT!??!?!
