Orkney's Renewable Stories - Orkney Isles Preserves

Businesses across Orkney have been embracing renewable energy over recent years, helping to keep both running costs and carbon emissions down. We've been exploring some of the local renewable stories to find out more. Orkney Isles Preserves is based in the island of Shapinsay and offers a mouth-watering range of jams and chutneys, all hand-cooked at Odinstone Farm. Glynis Leslie transformed a bothy on the farm into the base of her business, and installed a wind turbine to help power her preserve-making process by harnessing some of Orkney's green energy.
