The new transfer ports allow for proper coupling with both connected crankcases and completely original crankcases, and feature a special profile designed to optimize flow and achieve significant increases in performance, even without additional vehicle work. TRANSFER PORTS The intake transfer ports feature a profile designed to correctly direct the incoming flow and achieve high turbulence, thus ensuring improved combustion efficiency and optimal scavenging. These improvements increase combustion efficiency, reduce exhaust gas losses, and maintain the temperature in the combustion chamber within allowable levels, including at the piston crown. The rear transfer ports have been the subject of extensive research, resulting in the development of an innovative dual-pitch profile (1-2). This profile, leveraging the well-known Coandà effect, allows for greater flow rates than traditional rear transfer ports, while also differentiating the orientation of the jet from the single combustion chamber inlet port. This reduces short circuits of the fresh charge in the exhaust and simultaneously increases the amount of fresh mixture introduced. The exhaust has also undergone a thorough overhaul, featuring new, wider timing and a redesigned profile to ensure proper gas flow out and towards the muffler. Ø 63 PISTON The Ø 63 dual-piston piston was calculated and optimized through hours of testing in the dyno. The piston's profile is designed to withstand the high temperatures developed in the combustion chamber during operation, especially under the most demanding conditions. Allowing the piston to assume the correct cylindrical shape once it reaches operating temperature allows for a more uniform sliding surface for the cast iron cylinder. This new profile has reduced the clearance between the cylinder and piston, ensuring greater guidance during reciprocating motion in the cylinder liner and reducing rotations around the piston pin axis, thus reducing the risk of seizure, a very dangerous and recurring phenomenon in high-performance cast iron cylinders. Even the metallic rattling noise, audible at low revs and typical of this vehicle category, has been significantly reduced. The double piston ring ensures proper piston movement while also maintaining a constant seal over time against the pressures developed in the cylinder chamber. HEAD The cylinder head has undergone a thorough overhaul, starting with the cooling fins, now curved and more sinuous, exposing a greater surface area to the air and maximizing cooling. The head fins have also been inserted into the cavity between the head and the cylinder to generate significant airflow, further mitigating operating temperatures. The result is pleasing to the eye due to its unique and original shape, achieved through the careful positioning of the fins, whose design is interrupted only where absolutely necessary, relative to the stud bolt holes. The head structure itself has been thoroughly revised, increasing mass to achieve record-breaking rigidity, combining lightness with the maximum possible length of the cooling fins and exploiting all the space made available by the shroud. The inside of the head is hemispherical and machined using CNC machinery. The spark plug is positioned significantly tilted, yet remains centrally located. The kit includes two centering bushings to ensure perfect fit between the head and cylinder, separated only by an O-ring. This solution, imported directly from the world of racing, guarantees maximum sealing and the greatest possible heat exchange, eliminating any type of gasket and therefore removing any barrier between the head and cylinder. ⭕For use of the kit on vehicles circulating on public roads, please consult your local vehicle licensing authority.⭕ This and many other Malossi items can be found on our e-shop. 💲 | https://www.emporiodelloscooter.com ✉ | [email protected] 📞| +39 0439 788097
