Throughout the Second World War, there were many people who collaborated with the Nazis and the SS. One of the most horrific collaborators was Henry Rinnan, a Norweigan man who despite his short stature would be known for his brutality, torture and executions. Rinnan was recruited to the Gestapo to serve as a spy and an agent, and he hunted down many people who resisted the Nazi occupation of Norway. He decided to set up a spy group, and these men tortured and executed dozens of men. Rinnan became one of the most infamous war criminals in the north, and he was even hunted for assassination by British SOE. But at the end of the war he went on the run and tried to hide in Sweden but he was then arrested. After a trial, he was then sentenced to death and was taken to a firing range inside of a Norweigan fortress where he was then shot.
