Battle of Shiyane - Battle Report - Black Powder
This is a fictional battle based on a line from The Zulu film. What if the British had left the defences of Rorke's Drift and headed out to Shiyane hill to confront the Zulus in the open? I have used the Black Powder rules and The Zulu supplement as a starting point for this but made some tweaks to the rules to suit the game I wanted. All models are from Warlord Games and Empress Miniatures. As ever there are probably few minor gameplay and editing errors but shouldn't detract from the enjoyment of playing or watching this. All music is by the late great John Barry from the 1964 film 'Zulu' - "ah didnae write it or record it!" Reference material 'Rorke's Drift 1879' (Osprey Publishing) by Ian Knight, 'Zulu Rising' by Ian Knight (well worth a read!) and the 'Zulu' Black Powder supplement from Warlord Games #wargaming #historical #miniatures #zulu #blackpowder #shiyane
