What looked like an ordinary stretch of water turned out to be packed with scrap metal, rubbish, and a few unexpected surprises. We even stumbled across a little honey hole that made the day even more rewarding. Another river restored and another great day cleaning our waterways. Join me on my many adventures, cleaning the environment of all the rubbish & scrap hiding in our waterways with friends popping in to say hello, see my finds & restorations, 500,000 items of litter make their way into the sea from UK rivers every year, impacting on marine life The canals & rivers of England & Wales could be plastic-free in a year if every visitor picked up one piece of litter Confronting climate change means we have to do more than change a few light bulbs, & it’s clear that current regulations aren’t cutting it, either. But what, exactly, can we do? We can grab a bag & a magnet or grapple and go find this stuff, dispose of it responsibly making the environment better for future generations & the wildlife.The comments of support & donations keep us going but the real thanks is when we see the wildlife returning to an area we have cleaned.
