Processo siderurgico integrale @meccanicando

A steel plant operates an integrated cycle when its manufacturing process, starting from raw materials and ending with the finished product, is complete. The main phases of the cycle are: raw material preparation, the production of pig iron in the blast furnace, its transformation into steel, and the final rolling. The integrated cycle offers significant economic advantages due to the continuity of operations and the efficient use of the facilities. This allows for more accurate quality control and significant savings in energy, time, and transportation. The integrated cycle, or continuous cycle, operates continuously day and night for years. During the operating period, or campaign, the plant is never stopped and can last up to 7 years. At the end of each campaign, the blast furnace's refractory lining is replaced. Enjoy!
