As part of his working visit to Boyolali Regency, Central Java, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming inspected the Ampaslovers' Sayekti Farm cattle farm in Pagerjurang, Musuk District, on Friday (March 27, 2026). This inspection was to ensure that the strengthening of the livestock sector is integrated, from livestock health to the development of downstream-based industries. This step also forms part of the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto's directive to strengthen national food security and improve the welfare of livestock farmers. On this occasion, the Vice President emphasized the importance of vigilance against the spread of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) through accelerated vaccination and early reporting by the public. "Make sure all cattle, Mr. Regent, are vaccinated. And residents, ladies and gentlemen, don't be late in reporting. So if an incident occurs, report it immediately. This will prevent an epidemic and spread. That's my one order," the Vice President emphasized. In addition to disease control, the Vice President also encouraged strengthening the livestock supply chain through downstream industrialization. According to him, the development of integrated livestock processing facilities is key to increasing added value while maintaining sector stability. "Immediately attract investors to build factories. This is crucial. For feed factories, everything is done from A to Z. There's a downstream process here. Investors must be brought in immediately from start to finish," he added. The Vice President also requested that regional governments immediately explore investment opportunities to develop a connected livestock ecosystem from upstream to downstream, including feed supply, product processing, and distribution. "Everything must be completed from upstream to downstream. So, there should be no more complaints from residents," he said. Furthermore, the Vice President assessed that strengthening the livestock sector not only impacts productivity but also creates jobs and improves the welfare of the wider community. "Once the factory is built, feed prices must be stable. There will be job opportunities. And everyone here must prosper," said the Vice President. Meanwhile, the Regent of Boyolali, Agus Irawan, stated that the dairy farming sector is the backbone of the local economy. "We are in a sub-district or village where livestock is our greatest potential. One of these is dairy farming, which is a mainstay of the local economy," he explained.
