Milking time at Mosnang Holsteins.

We milk ~90 cows (85 Holsteins/ 5 Jerseys) in a free stall barn with a flat parlor. We milk twice a day and it takes about 1 1/2 hours to complete a milking. This system works great for us as we get to work closely with the cows during milking, making any changes due to illness or lameness easy to detect. Judging by their calm demeanor and their production (avg. 35 L/d) the cows like the parlor too.
