Along with guest-speaker Michael Card, we present to you his Biblical Imagination Series in 4 parts as we delve into the life of the Gospel writers and "engage the text at the level of the imagination." This method of understanding scripture, comes out of a desire to bridge the gap between the heart and mind under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Matthew's account is directed at the 70 AD Jewish believers having experienced the siege of Jerusalem and destruction of the temple. Now, they are faced with big questions: who are we and where does all of this tie into our identity? Matthew as the Gospel of Identity, aims to answer this through showcasing that Christ is, in fact, the ultimate fulfilment of their belief system and knowing Him equals knowing the complete fulfilment of who they were called to be.
