The Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received a phone call from Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, during which they discussed recent regional developments, particularly those of the past week, as well as bilateral issues between Lebanon and Iran. Ghalibaf emphasized to Speaker Berri that Tehran's objective is to end the war in Lebanon, facilitate the return of displaced persons, and secure an Israeli withdrawal, stressing that Iran is seriously pursuing this matter. During the call, Ghalibaf noted that it was decided in the Swiss talks to establish a conflict monitoring unit with the participation of Iran, the United States, and Lebanon. This move reflects a new phase of regional and international engagement with the Lebanese issue, amidst efforts to contain the escalation and solidify the ceasefire.
